Attorney Patrick G. Curley focuses his practice on helping clients protect their families and their finances for today and the future. Patrick excels at guiding clients and their families through the maze of financial and legal decisions necessary for effective planning.
After graduating as Valedictorian at Wakefield High School, Patrick earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree in 1997 from the University of Michigan Law School, one of the top five law schools in the country.
Patrick and his father, Attorney Mark M. Curley, co-founded Curley Law Firm LLP to create the premier elder law and estate planning firm in Massachusetts. Under their leadership, the firm has grown to include three skilled paralegals and a legal assistant.
Patrick has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Elder Law Attorney from the National Elder Law Foundation. One of only twenty Certified Elder Law Attorneys in Massachusetts, Patrick earned the designation by completing a process that requires many years of focused elder law practice, a full-day certification examination comparable to a state bar exam, dozens of hours of continuing legal education in the elder law field, and references from five elder law attorneys.
Patrick is a member of the leading local and national elder law and estate planning associations including Wealth Counsel (a national organization of trusts and estates attorneys who design sophisticated planning techniques for individuals and families), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and its Massachusetts chapter, and the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. He participates in frequent national and local conferences with the leading attorneys in the country.
The Wall Street Journal has quoted Patrick on elder law issues. A frequent speaker, writer and television commentator, Patrick has conducted seminars for Mystic Valley Elder Services, North Shore Elder Services, the Geriatric Care Managers Association of New England, and many senior centers, assisted living facilities and nursing homes throughout Massachusetts.
Patrick proudly volunteers as President of the Board of Directors of The Boit Home, a non-profit retirement home in Wakefield. He also serves as a "Big Brother" in the Massachusetts Chapter of the Big Brother-Big Sister mentoring organization. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, who is a first-grade school teacher.
